John's knee

Hi y'all.

John is going to have a MRI done on his right knee tomorrow in Brainerd. He has had much pain in the past two weeks & it isn't improving. He is using crutches to get around. The doctor in Pierz thinks he will probably need artheroscopic(sp?) surgery done. John will see an orthopedist on Tuesday of next week who will analize the MRI & decide what to do. In the meantime, he is eating Ibuprofin like candy.

I'll keep you posted.

Puppies

So the lady from the kennel where we got Gibbs has some puppies that she is having trouble finding a home for. (Even after Uno wins Best In Show). She sent us an email asking if we knew anyone who is in the market for a puppy. So I figured I could pass it on, after all, who doesn't like pictures of cute little puppies. Also I just had to share because these guys are so cute Kyle almost had me talked into getting another. (I know Kerri mentioned once that Travis really wants a rabbit dog so she might be in trouble if he sees these pics.) On the off chance you do know someone let me know. I do not remember what she is asking for them but I think it is around $350.

Work Wanted!!!!!!!

Mitchell is looking for a job that requires climbing or sampling food. He is well qualified for either job and always has a good plan to make either one work.
The higher he can climb the better he likes it. He was grounded from his dump truck for using it as a ladder to get on things like the coach or the kitchen table. Grandpa Sam thought we were terrible for being so mean to him--as you can tell he is terribly abused.
Yesterday we had one of those stay at home and do nothing days. I asked Mitchell if we should make cookies and his response was "MMMMMM" so I took that as a yes.

Spoiler Alert - Unless You Are Anna

If you want the baby gender to be a surprise quit reading!!!

Well it turns out I am not a trend setter. This little one will be the same as all of the previous cousins, it is a boy. So the ultrasound tech says. She seemed positive, I wasn't really seeing it.

Ultrasounds

Last week I was in for my ultrasound. It sure seems like I had to wait long enough as I am now starting week 23. I am amazed that I never hear expecting mothers talk about their ultrasound experience as I found it to be the most amazing and interesting process. At only 22 weeks they zoom in on the little organs, most undistinguishable to the novice...this is baby's organ A, this is organ B. But some I could see, I was amazed that they can zoom in so much as to see the chambers of the heart beating away. I could pick out little radius and ulnas in the arm, femurs in the leg. When getting shots of the head we even got to see a yawn. What a blessing to see something so adorable. I was so disappointed when the appointment was over. I think Kyle and I could have watched all day. Now it will be another 4 months before we get to see baby again.
BTW - If you are interested in knowing the gender let me know, we did get a pretty clear picture. I would like to point out that God has a sense of humor because for one gender we agreed on a name immediately. For the other gender each others ideas of names have been met with rinkled up noses and questions about the other person's mental state.

I still can't figure out how this blog will throw pictures in, but the photos are of this:

Photo - Look at the tiny little fingers.
Photo - Baby's Profile (my scanner thought black and white was boring so it added some color)

We're back!

We arrived home on Monday morning. We spent Sunday night with Kevin & Sue in New Hope. The trip home went very well. The weather was great. This is always a "scary" prospect coming back into Minnesota.
The top picture is John & Steve standing in front of "Rosa's Cantina" at the Old Tucson film studio. Center is just a very small taste of the beautiful scenery in Sedona. The bottom picture is Nancy standing behind a Barrel Cactus.
It was a great time. Hope to see you all soon.
Love, Hopper

FYI...

Don't worry I am not going crazy. I really was not up at 4:24am doing laundry and posting on the blog--it was 6:24am. Maggie:)

Isaiah

Hi Carol,

Mom told me you would like me to post some pictures of Isaiah. The last couple of times I saw him I didn't have my camera with me. I will work on that this weekend and post some pictures. If you wondering what he looks like in the mean time it is a combination of Chris and Frank Baron on Everybody Loves Raymond. Although he is a whole lote cuter than Frank! Also, Katy and I have come to the conclusion that it would be really fun to know what it feels like to have a kid that looks like one of us or at least resembles us so if anyone can help us out with that we would really appreciate. Well, I better get to working on my laundry--talk to you all later!

Love Maggie

Here's Eliott playing in his bedroom. He likes to grab for toys, and automatically puts them right in his mouth! He is also rolling from his back to his tummy. Now, when we lay him down for a nap, he flips himself over, and wants to play!!
Here's Daddy laying Eli down for a nap, or wait, maybe Eli is laying Daddy down!!!

More Birthday Pictures

Here are a couple of more pictures from Mitchell's birthday. Kevin's brother bought him a toy manure spreader and the next gift he opened was a toy tractor from Jacob so that was the end of him opening presents. He took his toys and off he went.
The bottom pictutre is a picture of his cake that Kevin decorated for him. I helped a little like mixing up frosting and writing on it but Kevin did the rest.
