Home

Hi all,

We will probably be extending our stay here one day. We've been watching the Weather Channel. It's not looking so good.

Mitchell's Birthday!!

Mitchell turned 1 on the 14th but we didn't have his birthday until the 20th at Grandpa and Grandma Moren's house. Our house is a little bit too small for everybody to fit into. Mitchell really didn't care what was going on but he ended up with 3 cakes so he was happy. For some reason it is only letting me add one picture I will try to put more on later! Maggie

In Branson

We arrived in Branson yesterday about 7 PM. Tucson is 1,317 miles from here. 2 long days! We stayed in Tucumcari, New Mexico Friday night. The weather was beautiful for traveling both days, thankfully. It is beautiful today here - 64 degrees & sunny. The forecast says it isn't going to last. We will be leaving for home Thursday unless the weather gets bad.

Las Vegas

Hello everyone!

Last weekend I went to visit Neal in Las Vegas. We had a good time. Except that we were in Las Vegas. We did a little car shopping. Actually, we looked at Toyota's and Saturn's, we didn't really test drive this Lamborghini. Neal is doing fine, except he is bored. Especially on weekends. Today he was going to go to a swap meet. The weather was good. Somewhat warmer than here. He will be home next weekend, Friday to Sunday.

Eliott- 4months

Here's Eli. 4 months old already, it's so hard to believe!! We had him to the dr. this past week- 14 lbs, and 25 in.!! These are just some random, recent pictures I have. The second one is him sucking on his lip. Something he's been doing quite often lately. He loves to chew on anything he can get into his mouth, burp rags, blankets, toys, dirty wipes..........he's not fussy!

Leaving Tucson

Hi family. We've had a great stay here in Tucson. We've done a lot of hicking in the desert & the mountains. Today we walked in the Sabino Canyon. There are a lot of things we didn't do because we didn't have time.

Yesterday, we spent about 4 hours in the Old Tucson Studios which is where they have filmed 100s of Westerns & some TV shows (Little House on the Prairie, High Shapparel, etc.) And John Wayne's movies "Rio Bravo", "Rio Lobo", "El Dorado" & "Mc Clintock" to name a few. It looks like a small old Western town.

Tomorrow, we are leaving for Branson. We hope to make it to Amarillo tomorrow night & then the rest of the way the next day. We will be there 5 nights.

God bless you all. See you soon.

hello!!!

Hi everyone! Sorry we've been so quiet on here as of lately.....Other than being super busy with a little one, I really have no excuse, except for the fact that we can't get our camera to transfer pictures to our computer anymore, and it seems a little boring without pics. Hopefully real soon we can get this problem figured out!! Hope everyone is doing well......

In Tucson

Hi all,

We arrived in Tucson yesterday. Today, we visited the Saguaro National Park. These huge cactus are fascinating.

The daytime temperatures are in the 60s. Last night, it froze.

We are enjoying our time away from the cold. We've been watching the weather back home. I hope the house is ok.

I can't figure out how to send pictures. Sorry.

Love, Hopper

Wish you were here!

Hi all,

We arrived in Sedona on Saturday PM. When we left Pagosa Springs it was -6 & when we arrived here, it was 55 degrees. But what was most amazing is the change in scenary that we drove through. When we started, there were mountains & lots of snow. We drove through Monument Valley with all of its amazing rock formations & then across the painted desert into Flagstaff with it's Ponderosa pines then down through the Oak Creek Canyon which has high rock cliffs with a creek running through it & then to Sedona which is surrounded by amazing red rocks with endless unusual rock formations.

I wanted to send a picture or 2 but can't hook my camera up to this computer. I'm in the computer room at the resort where we are staying.

Hope all is going well wherever you are!

Here are some pretty fun pictures that my friend took of Eli for his 3 month photo shoot. We have many fun ones to choose from, but here are few of our fav's! There are a few more posted on our site. If you'd like to check it out, the address is: http://tomalafamily.blogspot.com It's basically a bunch of pictures of Eli. What more do we have a talk about, right?!?! Jill

trip

Hi all,

This morning, we are going to leave Clint & Steph's & go to Steve & Nancy's home in the mountains. We will be there tonight & tomorrow night. Friday morning we will leave for Pagosa Springs & spend one night there on our way to Sedona. They've been having a lot of snow in the mountains - not what we came to see. Hopefully the roads will be good.

It was great to see the kids. We didn't do much here. John & I both brought nasty colds with us from Minnesota. I'm hoping we don't leave them here but I don't know how we could have prevented it. We still don't have much energy.

Carol, Aunt Jimmie said she didn't get her calendar. Do you have the correct address? I'll call you when I can talk better. I've had laryngitis, too.

Hope all is well. Love, Hopper

Update on Neal

Neal arrived in Laughlin Nevada on Saturday evening around 8:00. He went there as his mom & dad flew out there on Saturday with his aunt and uncle. He stayed the night with them and most of Sunday and then went on to Las Vegas toward evening. He says he has a real nice place to stay. His first day of work was full of meetings, but all went well. Neals trip

Neal made it to Liberal, Kansas (yes, like the democrat), last night at about 8:30. He said he was 3 miles from the Oklahoma border. His trip is going fine so far with the exception of boredom. When he first started out, he talked of becoming a truck driver but when he ended his day he decided against it. His plan is to leave at about 5:30 this morning and meet Mick Moren somewhere in New Mexico for breakfast. I'll keep you posted.

Hi from Colordo

Hi all,

Just letting you all know that we arrived at Clint's yesterday at about 1 PM Denver time. Today we went to visit Aunt Jimmy & she demanded that she take us out for breakfast. Louie was with us because he works nights. Elaine was at work. She is doing really well. She is so witty.

We then went to visit Steph & Chris & saw their house. Steve & Nancy were still there but were leaving for their home in the mountains. Yesterday was Steve's last day of work.

I'm introducing Steph to the blog & showing her how to use it. She doesn't read email so didn't know that it existed. Apparently Clint didn't tell her about it (he forgot!). Whatever!

Take care

Hopper & Steph
